The difference in actual hit percentages or max distance between 300 PRC, 300 Norma, 338 Lapua, and 338 Norma is going to be lost in the noise under real conditions and covered by a couple inches of barrel length on the internet. The 300 Norma Mag is flatter shooting, especially inside of 1000 yards. So when range uncertainty is high or reduced recoil is a high priority, it could be the better choice. The 338 Lapua Mag carries more energy at all ranges, but the difference grows with distance. By 2000 yards, the 338 Lapua load packs almost 50% more energy.
