I think it had a lip that extended past the outside of the housing, so it was relatively easy to slowly work the seal out. 2004 Sierra 3500 dually, 6.0L extended cab, cab&chassis flatbed, upgraded to 4wd. 2012 Silverado 3500 dually, 6.0l, crew cab, long box replaced w flatbed.
Test the transfer case motor with a test light (Ohm preferably): locate the yellow and orange wire on the actuator because that controls the motor. These two wires go into the motor itself.
