Watched a couple vids with the owner simply pushing the back of the slide with their thumb. Tried that, tried yanking on it, tried begging, pleading, offering my first ... My American is the Pro. The Security 9 has blued parts, that I have found needs to be kept well oiled as it is prone to rust, plastic sights, and a safety that is hard to manipulate and pivots from the wrong end. But it has a hammer, which in my opinion is a good thing. But the Security 9 is a very functional pistol.

Hold the slide firmly in your weak hand. Now slam your strong hand into the back of the grip being sure to depress the grip safety as you do it. Remember the grip safety, if not depressed, will keep an XD locked shut. Hit it several times to free the stuck cartridge from the gun.
