If I could get a 30SF slide/barrel for about $300 it would be worth considering. Although if I could swap my 29SF for the 30SF, I could get the 10mm LW barrel for only $130 to accomplish my objectives. The 30S is nice but does not have any conversion barrels for the high powered rounds. LW makes a 9mm barrel for the 20 but not for the 29 or 30.

It's a 36 slide on a 30SF frame so it's the thinner 36 slide that drops the 4oz in weight, not the frame since the frames are the same. So yes it is lighter, but for me I'm not going to rush out and sell my Gen4 30 to buy a 30S, it's not that big of a deal to me. Now if I didn't have the Gen4 30 I would definitely consider the 30S.

Now, I’m not the type to carry .45 but that doesn’t mean I don’t have an appreciation for this old-timer caliber.
