I have a Trooper MK III That has a similar issue. Using it single action, it seemed like a stiff breeze on the trigger would make the hammer fall. Also, cocked, a light push on the hammer would cause the hammer to fall. Recently, the hammer often does not want to stay in cocked position. I called Colt and was told they won't work on these guns.
