It is an economy gun. To keep it economical some coatings are not as durable as those if more expensive guns. I had a Walther PPS M2 with a Tenerite coating. Failure to feed nose up happened about 10 times. I was using lawman 147 grain. I had to drop the mag to eject and chamber a new round.

I've had it happen on more than one of my 380's and won't use it any longer. Just about any other brand of SD ammo should feed reliably.
